FrogLips
Our Wines

A light / medium bodied Pinot Noir red wine
The wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in a small vineyard in Erpeldange-Bous near Remich in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The traditional overall cool climate in Luxembourg has been problematic in the past for the production of Pinot Noir. Our vineyard, however, is south facing and very steep with a gradient of over 30 degrees. This means the grapes receive a maximum of sunshine. Also, global warming has shifted the terroirs with an ideal climate for Pinot Noir to the north.

We offer three different wines
We offer:
-
Pinot Noir aged in steel
-
Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels (standart bottle and magnum)
-
Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels without added sulphite
The wine is fruity and light to medium bodied with only 13 decrees alcohol. It pairs well with charcuterie, poultry, veal, beef and certain fish like tuna or salmon. It works very well with tomato based dishes, such as pasta and pizza.
While this is a wine to enjoy and not a wine to collect, it will easily keep and improve during a period of 5 years. The wine without added sulphite should be consumed faster.

The FrogLips label
Our label has been designed by the renown German artist Peer Boehm.
Peer Boehm (*1968, Cologne/GER) deals with individual and collective memory. He is as interested in very personal life stories as in historical events. Peer Boehm's works are based on photographic originals of people and settings. He abstracts them through strong contrasts and reduction of the motif to the necessary minimum. In this way he limits his works in their readability and unambiguity. The empty spaces in the picture impressively convey the possible missing parts and gaps of a memory. The viewer must therefore complete the picture in order to recognize the content of the painting.
Why the name "FrogLips"?
The idea for the name dates back decades when we dreamt about producing wine one day. That was a dream. The dream became reality including the name!
